Update for August 2013

We've just stared up the first community based fun project, and plans are in the works to move Strikepaw HQ to a new home, complete with a new set for Claws & Convo. Plus, stuff I'm looking in to which will vastly improve the show.

More Content!

I'm looking for content creators to create short videos around 10 minutes in length for the Strikepaw Studios YouTube channel, as well as for broadcast during the break session on Claws & Convo. This can be anything from news to comedy skits, so long as they fit the following guidelines:

  1. They have something to do with furry
  2. Safe For Work
  3. Are high quality widescreen or 720p HD
  4. Downloadable from Google Drive
  5. Under 15 minutes in length
  6. Edited as needed
  7. Credits included
  8. Must own or have permission to use content
Send your submissions, including a brief description and links to yourself (i.e. FA, DA, YouTube, blog, etc) to strikepaw.studios@gmail.com.

Strikepaw Radio (beta) looking for DJs

Just started streaming Strikepaw Radio! Its our new internet radio station which we're starting up. It's nothing fancy yet, just a free, ad-supported shoutcast host, but it's got a pretty good quality. There isn't a set schedule yet, and it'll probably see some down time every now and then until we can get an auto dj system going. In the mean time, we're looking for DJs to keep the server active around the clock. Requirements are listed below. Currently it's just me at the helm.

Want to be a DJ? Here's what you'll need.

  • SAM Broadcaster OR Winamp w/ Shoutcast DSP plug-in
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Decent quality microphone
  • Reliable computer
  • A fair music collection (doesn't have to be massive, just enough to fill your set)
  • IRC Client (communicating stream hand-offs and interacting with audience)
The style of music is completely up to you, so long as it is of decent quality audio. I play mainly hard rock and heavy metal. I also want to have a few talk shows/podcasts on the station in addition to Claws & Convo.

SAM Broadcaster is the software I would recommend, though it's pretty expensive. Thus is the reason I'm stuck with the DSP for winamp, which is a tad clumbsy and tends to crash when switching audio source. It is free, though, and gets the job done. On the other hand, if someone were willing to spend the money, I believe you can have it on up to five machines with the same activation key.

Calling for volunter casting, production assistance, and support

With the upcoming move to Bloomfield in a few months, I plan to add more and more projects to the repute of Strikepaw Studios. In addition to the new C&C set, I want to add at least one more show and start work on a short film series. It's going to be too much for me alone to handle, so I'm looking for help from volunteers.

Also, we're always needing help to maintain and improve the studio. A paypal donation link is provided at the bottom of the home page.

Random Ideas Involving Fursuits

With a fursuit soon to be under construction, a new show may be coming to our YouTube channel. Staring myself in suit, this new unscripted comedy unleashes this wily feline upon the unsuspecting public. We should be able to start on it some time in August.

Later on down the road, I'm hoping I can start working on a full length movie staring a few other fursuiters. A dramatic action comedy about a tribe of anthros in a human world. We're a long way from having the budget to do such a film, but in the mean time we may do a series of short films on cannon to build up a plot and lead up to an eventual full length movie.

Claws & Convo crew attending Anthrocon

Thanks to the help of one of our greatest supporters, Hematite Bear, the crew of Claws & Convo will be attending Anthrocon 2013 in Pittsburgh PA, the largest furry convention in the world. No plans yet to broadcast from the con, but there will definitely be some video and we may do a recorded show. Tune in to the show this week, where we'll talk about our plans.

Meanwhile, here's last week's episode:

Plans

As Claws & Convo expands it's viewer ship, we have made plans to expand our reach and improve the show itself. Here's a look at what's on the table:
